I Don't Know If I Have An Eating Disorder
by Halima

I used to be pretty heavy when I was younger, but then I began to lose weight. At first I did it by working out and eating healthy, but now I try to avoid food as much as possible.
Every time I eat something I start to cry and I feel disgusting.
I haven't talked to anyone about it, but my family has noticed that I don't eat that much.
They even said that I may have an eating disorder like anorexia. I don't think that I have an eating disorder, I'm thinking about my body and my health.
I just want to know if I have an eating disorder? ...

ADMIN NOTE:Since anorexia and other eating disorders are about so much more than just food, it's very difficult to say whether you have an eating disorder or not.
You say that you're thinking about your health, but not eating anything and avoiding food as much as possible is not going to make you healthy. In fact, it does the opposite. Starving yourself can create all kinds of health (and mental health) issues.
It may be a good idea to have your parents take you to the doctor for a consultation. That way you will know one way or the other.
Take care,
Michelle
P.S. - I love Sweden!! I was in Malmo and Stockholm several years ago. LOVED IT :))
